If you live in an urban area, Ride the City can help you find the safest biking routes between two places by avoiding major traffic areas that are dangerous for cyclists.

Currently the site only supports a limited number of cities in the U.S., Canada, France, Australia, and Spain. That's not a very wide availability, but city-dwellers are likely to have a harder time finding safe places to ride so it should still be pretty useful.
