Tufts University put to use an interesting blend of a highly popular modern pop-culture reference from Drake. ?The admission application for Tufts University based in Medford, Massachusetts near Boston, referenced the term "You Only Live Once" (YOLO) made highly popular by the Canadian recording artist Drake. ?It tied his phrase to similar older historic phrases that portray similar views.
The application reads:
"The ancient Romans started it when they coined the phrase "Carpe diem." Jonathan Larson proclaimed "No day but today!" and most recently, Drake explained You Only Live Once (YOLO). Have you ever seized the day? Lived like there was no tomorrow? Or perhaps you plan to shout YOLO while jumping into something in the future. What does #YOLO mean to you?"
