INDIANAPOLIS (June 14, 2012) - John F. Hirschman, director of real estate development at Browning Investments Inc., rejoined Faegre Baker Daniels LLP as counsel. He will practice on the real estate and construction team from the firm's 96th Street office in Indianapolis.
At Faegre Baker Daniels, Hirschman will represent developers, financial institutions and corporate clients in debt and equity financing transactions, leasing transactions, and acquisition and disposition transactions involving office, retail, industrial, multi-family and residential real estate assets throughout the United States.
As director of real estate development at Browning Investments from 2005-12, Hirschman was responsible for all legal and business facets of a significant industrial, office, research and mixed-use development portfolio in Central Indiana, including lease and sale transactions, land acquisition and entitlement, debt and equity financing, financial analysis, joint venture formation, site and building layout and design, public approval processes, construction, and marketing. He managed joint venture relationships with Duke Realty Corporation, Prologis and Real Estate Capital Partners, and his clients included Amazon.com, BrightPoint, Dow AgroSciences and Medco Health Solutions Inc.
Hirschman was a real estate associate at Faegre Baker Daniels from 2002-05. He began his legal career as an associate with a Chicago law firm from 1997-2002.
Hirschman is a member of the Urban Land Institute, secretary of the Goodwill Industries Foundation of Central Indiana and legal committee chairperson of Brendonwood Common. He earned his law degree cum laude from New York University School of Law in 1997, a master's degree from the University of Alabama in 1994 and a bachelor's degree cum laude from DePauw University in 1991.
