What's it like to be a child of the .01 percent?

That depends. The majority of super-rich kids don't even know how rich they are until they're 21, according to a survey by SEI Wealth Management.

The truth is, mega-wealthy dads come in all shapes and sizes, and all have their own parenting styles--especially when it comes to dealing with money.

Here's a round-up of 10 super-rich dads with a brief explainer of how they broach the topic of money with their kids:

  • Carlos Slim

    <strong>Net Worth: $69 Billion</strong> <br> Carlos Slim -- a Mexican telecommunications tycoon -- employs most of his six children at his business, <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/8335604/Carlos-Slim-At-home-with-the-worlds-richest-man.html" target="_hplink">according to the <em>Telegraph</em></a>. <a href="http://www.achievement.org/autodoc/page/sli0int-8" target="_hplink">During an interview with the Academy of Achievement,</a> a non-profit that gives high-achieving children a chance to interact with their heroes, Slim credited his children with teaching him about love.

  • Bill Gates
