(WTVM)- It just keeps getting better for 2012 Miss Alabama USA and Columbus native Katherine Webb.
Webb tweeted on Tuesday that she was chosen by the show Inside Edition to cover the 2013 Super Bowl.
In an article from The Huffington Post, Webb called the job "an honor and a dream come true." She said she'll "give fans an insider's look at what goes on as the teams prepare to battle and as the fans get ready to cheer on their favorites."
But wait ? there's more. Sports Illustrated announced last week that 23-year-old Webb will pose in their 2013 swimsuit issue, which goes on sale the week of February 11.?
Webb told Sports Illustrated that she was "completely dumbfounded" by her meteoric rise to stardom.?
"It was so shocking to me because literally overnight I go from being AJ's girlfriend and going to support him in the championship game to being on every major media news outlet," Webb said. "It's just so surprising to me. I don't know what God has planned, but obviously he's working on something."
Webb attended middle school in Columbus and graduated from Northside High School in 2007. She then moved to Phenix City so she could compete in the Miss Alabama USA pageant. ?
Webb attended Auburn University and graduated in May 2011 with a bachelor's degree in business management and administration.
Webb shot to fame nationwide last Monday night at the BCS National Championship when ESPN commentator Brent Musberger pointed her out several times throughout the game and commented on her beauty. ESPN later apologized about the remarks, to which Webb has said that she was not offended.
